For anyone loving the intricacy & richness of botanical shapes, eco-printing textiles is a wonderful adventure. Plant material reveals itself so differently depending on fibres used (silk, linen, wool, cotton or hemp) & on the natural dye material involved: logwood, eucalyptus, avocado pits, alkanet, onion skins, walnut husks or cochineal.
A new development is the addition of indigo dye to the eco-printed work as well as the exploration of text on fabric.
